Patchogue, NY----On Saturday, the Brooklyn College men's tennis team continued to dominate the competition, rolling to their third straight shutout at St. Joseph's Long Island, 9-0. Brooklyn improves to 4-4 with the non-conference win while the Golden Eagles drop to 0-4. Next Up: The Bulldogs return to CUNYAC play against perrenial power, Baruch, on Tuesday at 7:30 pm at Columbia University.
BC began the afternoon with a clean sweep of doubles led by No. 1 flight,
Ryan Sham and
Craig Pazarecki with an 8-1 victory. No. 2 flight doubles,
Ryan Badre-Hume and
Aymen Kuc, also only gave up a game, winning 8-1.
Allen Mardakhayev and
Mordecai Lev followed suit with an 8-1 victory at the No. 3 flight.
Sham would go on to win (6-1, 6-3) at the top flight in singles. Pazarecki scored a straight set shut out at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-0). Kuc rolled at No. 3 (6-0, 6-2). Badre-Hume only gave up a game in each set at No. 4 (6-1, 6-1).
Mujibur Shaad cruised at No. 5 singles (6-1, 6-0) and Lev completed the shutout with a (6-0, 6-1) victory at No. 6.
