BROOKLYN, New York ------ Three. Three was the magic number coming into Thursday night's conference match against the City College of New York Beavers, as the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team looked to end a three game skid of three consecutive CUNYAC matches by winning three sets. In what proved to be the lucky number of the night, the Bulldogs would succeed by putting the Beavers away in just three sets (25-19, 26-24, 25-21). Brooklyn improves to 6-11 overall and 2-4 in the conference, while City College drops to 5-8 overall and 2-5 in the conference.

How It Happened:
- The Bulldogs would ironically jump to a 3-0 lead, but the lead was never secured in a set that featured three ties.
- After tying it at 10-10 in the first set, Brooklyn would finally begin to pull away thanks to a 7-0 run, eventually winning the set 25-19.
- In the second set, there were a total of thirteen ties that would lead to the Bulldogs taking it 26-24 thanks to a critical block by Jason Lin.
- Brooklyn would jump to a quick 4-0 lead to start the third set, but the Beavers would stomp back into it right away in a set that featured three ties, the last one at 8-8.
- The Bulldogs went on another 3-0 run before an attack error happened to spark yet another 4-0 run, making a score of 15-9.
- The Beavers would nearly tie it again trailing 16-15, but the Bulldogs would hold on to win 25-21.
For the Bulldogs:
- Tommy Min led the way with 9 kills, 4 aces, and 9 digs.
- Jiaian Flanders would shine as well with 9 kills, 3 aces, and 1 block
- Jason Lin led the way in blocks with 4, while David Lema set for a match-high 33 assists.Â
