Box Score Brooklyn, NY----Sophomore midfielder, George Koufos, scored both goals in the Brooklyn College Men's Soccer's season opening victory over St. Joseph's Brooklyn, 2-1, at the Aviator Sports Complex on Friday night.  It is the Bulldogs first win in their season opener since the 2013.  Next Up: The Bulldogs host Sarah Lawrence in a non-conference tilt at Brooklyn College Field on Tuesday, 9/3, at 6pm.  

How It Happened

• With the score tied, 1-1, Koufos put the game-winner in the net on an assist from junior midfielder, Bradlej Cupi, in 67'.  
• Koufos scored the match's first goal in 25' on a converted penalty kick.  
• The Bears knotted the match, 1-1, on a Matthew Kieblesz goal in 36'. 
• St. Joe's finished the match with a slight edge in shots (13-12) and shots-on-goal (5-4).  

For the Bulldogs

• Koufos scored both goals on two shots for the match.  
• Junior forward, Mohammed Alghanimi, finished with a team-high four shots.  
• Sophomore midfielder, Adan Khodorkovsky, took a pair of shots with one on-frame.  
• Freshman keeper, Brian Perea, recorded his first collegiate win finishing with four saves in all ninety minutes in goal.
