BC's Second Half Comeback Falls Short Against Pratt, 2-1

Randall's Island, NY----Trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team was unable to complete a second half comeback, falling to Pratt, 2-1 on Friday night on Randall's Island.  BC drops to 1-6 overall with the loss while the Cannoneers earned their first victory of the season, moving to 1-4-2.  Next Up: Brooklyn will look to bounce back on Wednesday, 9/25, at St. Elizabeth.  

How It Happened
  • Pratt opened the scoring up in 21' before scoring the game winner just three minutes later.  
  • Trailing 2-0 at the half, BC cut the Pratt lead to 2-1 in 71' on an unassisted goal scored by sophomore back, Yassin Hairane.  
  • Brooklyn managed a shot-on-goal that was saved in 77', which would have been the equalizer.  
  • The Bulldogs out-shot Pratt 16-3 in the second half, finishing with a 20-12 overall advantage. 
For the Bulldogs
  • Mohammed Alghanimi led the way offensively with 5 shots including a pair on-goal. 
  • Seif Mokhtar took four shots including two that were framed. 
  • Hairane's goal came on his only shot of the contest.
