BC Men's Swimming & Diving Gains First Victory of 2025 Over Bard

Bulldogs Continue Six-Game Win Streak Versus Bard

BROOKLYN, New York ------ Coming into Monday evening's meet, the Brooklyn College men's swimming and diving team would finally get their first meet of the new year taking on the Bard College Raptorsin non-conference play. Historically, Brooklyn would go in riding a five-game win streak against Bard, and the streak would continue as the Bulldogs would come out on top by a score of 136-67.

The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (7-3) start the year off on the right foot and improve their record in the process, while the Bard College Raptors (1-4) start the new year with a loss.

Michael Kravets would start Brooklyn off by posting a time of 11:06.05 to take the 1000-yard freestyle in Event 4.

Kravets would also take Event 14, beating his opponent by nearly a minute with a time of 2:13.18 in the 200-yard butterfly. He would do it again in Event 20's 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:32.06, three-quarters of a minute ahead of his opponents.

Max Bratkovsky would take the lead and retain it in the 200-yard breaststroke, edging his closest opponent by three seconds with a time of 2:52.34 in Event 24.

Up next, the Brooklyn College men's swimming and diving team stay at home for a conference match with the Baruch College Bearcats on Wednesday, January 15th at 6:00pm.
