Brooklyn, NY----With the announcement of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Women's Volleyball Postseason Awards, a quartet of Bulldogs have earned honors. Brooklyn senior libero,
Ruti Joshi, earned Second Team All-CUNYAC honors while freshmen outside hitters,
Ella Snobar and
Saule Okeke-Ziburkus, were also named Second Team All-Conference. In addition, senior setter,
Amra Mulic, was selected for the conference's Sportsmanship Team. All four Bulldogs helped lead Brooklyn to a 5-2 CUNYAC record and into the CUNYAC Championship final tonight, November 14, for the first time since 2022.
Ruti Joshi (Second Team All-Conference)
- Four-year member of the program.
- Ranks second in CUNYAC with 73 service aces.
- Ranks second in CUNYAC with 393 digs.
- Surpassed 1,000 digs for her career on November 1 at FDU-Florham.
- Came up with a career-high 35 digs at FDU-Florham on November 1.
- Served up a season-high 8 aces in two sets played against Medgar Evers on 11/4.
- Received CUNYAC Honorable Mention for the week on two separate occasions during the regular season.
Ella Snobar (Second Team All-Conference)
- Ranks sixth in CUNYAC with 217 kills.
- Ranks sixth in CUNYAC in blocks per set (.61).
- Ranks seventh in CUNYAC in total points with 262.5.
- Put away a season-high 14 kills at FDU-Florham on 11/1.
- Finished with a season-high 7 blocks at FDU-Florham on 11/1.
- Came up with a season-high 14 digs against St. Joseph's Brooklyn on 9/20.
- Named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week during the regular season.
Saule Okeke-Ziburkus (Second Team All-Conference)
- Ranks fifth in CUNYAC against conference oppoenents in kills with 51.
- Ranks seventh in CUNYAC with a .200 hitting percentage against conference opponents.
- Ranks seventh in CUNYAC in points against conference opponents with 60.
- Put away a season-high 17 kills at FDU-Florham on 11/1.
- Served up a season-high 6 aces in a conference win at Lehman on 10/28.
- Came up with a season-high 23 digs in a conference win over CCNY on 10/14.
- Had four double-doubles (kills and digs) on the season.
- Named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week during the regular season.
Amra Mulic (Sportsmanship Team)
- Four-year member of the program.
- Co-captain and extension of the coaching staff on the floor.
- Leads the team in assists with 368. Surpassed 1,000 assists for career last season.
- Set for a career-high 36 assists in a CUNYAC win over CCNY on 10/14. Also put away a career-high 7 kills in the same match.
- Earned a CUNYAC Honorable Mention for the week during the regular season.
