Bulldogs Lose Three To Start Season

BROOKLYN, New York ------ Coming into their game of the homestand to start the season, the women's swimming and diving team looked to try and build some momentum before heading on the road. In their way was a team that they had never beaten in the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons. Unfortunately, things would not go Brooklyn College's way once again, as they dropped the meet by a score of 138-58.

The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (0-3) have now lost the first three meets to start the season, while the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons (6-2) have now won their last two after a tough loss two meets ago.

Elizabeth Bailey-Hamm would give the Bulldogs a much-needed boost, finishing the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.69 in Event 7.

Magdalena Mackiewicz would earn 9 points with a score of 1.23 in 1-meter diving taking place at Event 11.

In Event 15, Elizabeth Bailey-Hamm would once again come through with another first place finish with a time of 1:00.45 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Up next, the Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team will travel to face the John Jay College Bloodhounds in conference action on Friday, November 21st at 6:00pm.
