BC Men's Swimming and Diving Swims Through To Three In A Row

Bulldogs Hit Three To Start Season

BROOKLYN, New York ------ Starting their season with their third game in a row at home, the men's swimming and diving team looked to continue their momentum before heading on the road. In their way was a team that they had beaten the last three meets in the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons. Fortunately, the streak lives as things would go Brooklyn College's way once again, taking the meet by a score of 179-22.

The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (3-0) are off to a hot start this season, while the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons (1-7) have now lost their last three meets.

After losing Event 4, Michael Kravets would help the Bulldogs bounce back with a first place finish with a time of 1:59.40 in Event 6's 200-yard freestyle. He would shine once again by being the only swimmer to finish under a minute with a time of 55.42 in the 100-yard butterfly in Event 14.

Or Volpert would give Kravets some competition in Event 16, finsihing three seconds ahead with a time of 52.36 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Andrew Woo would get a couple of first place finishes against his teammates, but the most important one would come face-to-face with the Gryphons' swimmer, who handed the Bulldogs a loss in Event 4, beating him with a time of 1:02.39, fourteen seconds ahead in Event 24's 100-yard freestyle.

Up next, the Brooklyn College men's swimming and diving team will travel to face the Mount Saint Mary's College Knights in non-conference action on Sunday, November 23rd at 1:00pm.
