NEW YORK, NY ------- Ready to do battle against the top team in the nation, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team would go on the road to face the New York University Violets at the John A. Paulson Center. Though Brooklyn College would end up losing the game, they were able to keep New York University from scoring in triple digits, losing 90-48 in the process.
The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (7-3) lose their first game on the road for the season against the number one team in the nation, while the New York University Violets (7-0) remain undefeated for the season after taking a convincing victory at home.
Both sides kept it close in the first quarter, and the Bulldogs would find a way to keep it that way, getting as close as down one point with a score of 7-6 with 3:56 left in the quarter. However, the Bulldogs would score the next eleven points, ending the quarter on a 12-2 run.
Up next, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team will close out the calendar year on the road at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the Steel Club Classic at Moravian University, starting with their first game against the University of Mary Washington Eagles on Monday, December 29th at 12:00pm.
