Brooklyn, NY----Improving to 2-1 against CUNYAC competition, the Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team cruised to a 100-1 conference victory over York College on Monday at the West Quad Pool. BC improves to 2-6 overall in dual meets on the season while the Cardinals drop to 0-2 (0-1 CUNYAC).
Elizabeth Bailey-Hamm would take the Bulldogs first head-to-head victory in Event 7, posting a 26.70 on the 50 yard freestyle, beating her nearest opponent by nearly twelve seconds.
In Event 11,
Magdalena Mackiewicz would place first in the 1-meter dive, posting a score of 186.70, earning her the right to participate in the Metros and also breaking the previous record set by Gdanski.
Antonietta Baerga would help Brooklyn bounce back after going down in a few battles with York, posting a time of 1:18.73 on the 100 yard breaststroke in Event 23.
Next Up: BC will break for finals and the holidays before return to conference action home against Hunter College on January 10 at 1pm.
