Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College men's tennis team scored their second straight shutout in conference play on Tuesday, defeating Lehman, 9-0, at home. BC improves to 3-5 (3-0 CUNYAC) with the win while Lehman drops to 0-5 (0-1 CUNYAC). Next Up: Brooklyn continues conference play against Hunter on the road on Wednesday, April 9, at 3pm at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.
Brooklyn took a 3-0 lead following doubles play with
Ryan Sham and
Craig Pazarecki rolling to an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles followed by
Ryan Badre-Hume and Maximilano Jarry Monroy winning at the No. 2 slot, 8-0.
Mujibur Shaad and
Allen Mardakhayev wrapped up doubles play with an 8-2 victory at the No. 3 flight.
Shaad won BC's first singles match of the day at the No. 3 slot (6-0, 6-0). Sham was next at the top flight (6-0, 6-0). Mardakhayev produced the third straight-set shutout in row at No. 5 singles (6-0, 6-0).
Dennis Shender followed with a (6-1, 6-1) victory at No. 6 singles. Badre-Hume sealed the shutout at the No. 4 slot (6-1, 6-4).
