BC Women's Soccer Picked Third in Preseason Coaches Poll; Gonzalez Gets Player to Watch Nod

Brooklyn, NY----Announced by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) on Tuesday, the Brooklyn College Women's Soccer team was picked third in the 2025 Preseason Coaches Poll. John Jay was picked to repeat as conference champs. In addition, Brooklyn midfielder, Chelsea Gonzalez, was selected as a Player to Watch during the season.  The Bulldogs open their latest campaign this Friday, 8/29, at SUNY Maritime at 5pm.

Entering his fourth season at the helm of the program, Head Coach Agathangelos Tsantsaridis guided the 2024 squad to a 6-9-3 mark and semifinal appearance in the conference championship tournament.  Following their season opener at Maritime, the Bulldogs host St. Elizabeth on Wednesday, September 3, at 4pm. BC opens conference play at York on October 11.  

Named a CUNYAC All-Star as a freshman last year, Gonzalez finished second on the team with 32 points and third in the entire conference with 12 assists.
