Box Score Patchogue, NY----The Brooklyn College women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at St. Joseph's Long Island on Friday. BC moves to 2-2 overall with the non-conference loss while the Golden Eagles improved to 2-0. Next Up: BC looks to bounce back at York College on Tuesday, 9/16, at 3pm.
The home team took the doubles point by winning all three matches played.
Aniyah James and
Anabel Greenberg, and
Oleksandra Shablii fell at the No. 2 and No. 3 slots respectively.
Medina Kuc and
Alexis Goodman fell 0-6 at the top slot.
Kuc gave Brooklyn their lone victory on the afternoon with a (6-2, 7-6) victory at No. 4 singles. Goodman battled at the No. 2 slot, but fell (5-7, 5-7). James put up a fight in the second set at No. 3 singles, but was eventually defeated (2-6, 4-6).
Kristen Vega was outlasted (3-6, 0-6) at No. 6 singles. Greenberg dropped a (1-6, 2-6) decision at top-flight singles and Shablii was defeated (1-6, 1-6) at No. 5.
