Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College women's tennis triumphed in their Season Opener at home on Tuesday, 5-2, over Mt. St. Mary College on the Roosevelt Courts.  BC first-year Head Coach, Akilah James, recorded her first win at the helm of the program.  Next Up: Brooklyn will look to keep their strong start going on the road at Purchase on Thursday, 9/4, at 3pm.  

The teams split doubles play with Alexis Goodman and Medina Kuc victorious at the top flight, 7-2.

Goodman would go on to win (6-2, 7-6) at top-flight singles to go undefeated on the afternoon. Kuc would also go undefeated, winning at No. 3 flight singles, (4-6, 6-4, 7-6).  Aniyah James scored a comeback win at No. 2 singles, (4-6, 6-0, 6-0).  Anabel Greenberg rolled at No. 4 singles, (6-1, 6-0).
