BROOKLYN, New York ------ Coming into the new year of 2026, the Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team would return to continue conference play at home against the Hunter College Hawks. Despite the solid start and bright spots, Brooklyn College would come up short against Hunter College by a score of 124-79.
The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (2-7, 2-2 CUNYAC) drop the first meet of the new calendar year, evening their record in the conference after having a winning record about a month ago. Meanwhile, the Hunter College Hawks (5-5, 3-0 CUNYAC) even their overall record and remain undefeated in conference play.
Brooklyn would get their first nine crucial points early in Event 4, as
Elizabeth Bailey-Hamm would post a 26.90 in the 50 yard freestyle.
Event 8 would have
Elizabeth Bailey-Hamm narrowly beat her closest opponent by a mere fifty-two hunderedths of a second, posting a time of 1:00.29 in the 100 yard freestyle.
Antonietta Baerga would earn another nine with a solid performance in the 1- yard breaststroke, posting a time of 1:17.80 to inch the Bulldogs closer, but unfortunately, they would come up short in the end.
