BC Women's Hoops Extends Win-Streak to Eight With CUNYAC Win Over Lehman

Brooklyn, NY----Junior guard Anna Kitch and senior guard, Dior Dorsey, scored 19 points each to help lead Brooklyn to an 84-65 conference victory over Lehman at home on Friday.  Winning their eighth straight game, Brooklyn improves to 15-3 (8-0 CUNYAC) with the win while the Lightning drops to 10-10 (5-3 CUNYAC). 

Taking a seven-point advantage to end the first quarter following a Kitch three-point make in the final seconds, Brooklyn opened up the second quarter with an 18-0 run sparked by an Ariel Williams layup.  Senior guard, Victoria Kantzian, also got in the mix with a three-point make during the run.  

Brooklyn extended their lead to as many as 28 points, 73-45, in the second half.  The Bulldogs' depth was once again evident as 10 different players scored on the evening.  BC's bench outscored Lehman's 25-0 on the evening.  

Sage Fanelli scored a game-high 23 points for the Lightning.  Heaven Figueroa added 20 points while surpassing 1,000 points for her collegiate career.  

Kitch shot 5-6 from beyond the arc on the evening to go along with 11 rebounds and 6 steals.  Junior guard, Brianna Jackson, also had a double-double for the game finishing with 10 points and a season-high 13 assists.
