BC Women's Swim and Dive In Fourth Place Following Day 1 of CUNYAC Championships

Bronx, NY----Following the opening day of the 2026 CUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships, Brooklyn College Women's Swim and Dive sits in fourth place with 29 points heading into Day 2 of the three-day event.  Hunter leads the six-team pack with 78 points followed by Baruch (64 points) and John Jay (50 points).  Lehman is in fifth place with 16 points and York is in sixth place.  The conference championship meet will continue tomorrow, January 31, at the Lehman College Apex with events beginning at 10am.  

DAY 1 RESULTS | CHAMPIONSHIPS CENTRAL 

Elizabeth Bailey-Hamm highlighted the afternoon for Brooklyn by winning the 50 freestyle final with a time of 25.91.  The 400 medley relay squad of Yara Shaik, Antonietta Baerga, Bailey-Hamm, and Hailey Johnston helped Brooklyn to 10 points by finishing fourth to close out the first day of competition.  

Magdalena Mackiewicz earned 9 first place points for Brooklyn in the 1 meter dive with a score of 175.0.  She was also crowned the CUNYAC 3 meter diving champion, picking up 9 more points for the Bulldogs.
