Brooklyn, NY----With the announcement of the CUNYAC Women's Basketball Weekly Awards on Monday, Brooklyn College junior guard,
Brianna Jackson, earned an Honorable Mention for her efforts on the court last week in a pair of Brooklyn victories. It is Jackson's second conference weekly honor for the season.
Helping Brooklyn to a 2-0 mark on the week, Jackson averaged 16.5 ppg, 5.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 steals in the two games played. She scored 16 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 7 assists in the Bulldogs' 75-65 victory over Mary Washington in their first game of the Steel City Classic hosted by Moravian University on Monday. On Tuesday, she matched a season-high 17 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 4 assists, and came up with 4 steals in Brooklyn's tournament championship victory over Moravian, 79-74. She would go on to be named the Steel City Classic Tournament Most Valuable Player for her efforts in the two games played.
The Bulldogs are back in action in conference play at home against Baruch on Wednesday, January 7, at 5pm.
