Brooklyn College Athletics

College: Third year member of the BC Men's Swimming & Diving team. In 2016-17, helped a 200 yard freestyle relay squad to a 4th place finish, helped a 400 yard medley relay squad to a 4th place finish, finished 7th in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:04.50, helped an 800 yard freestyle relay squad to a 3rd place finish, helped an 800 yard freestyle relay squad to a 3rd Place finish, finished 5th in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:19.75, finished 9th in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 54.66, and helped a 400 yard freestyle relay squad to a 2nd place finish at the CUNYAC Championships. Named CUNYAC All-Star, and CUNYAC Sportsmanship award winner. In 2014-2015, posted an 8th place finish (59.74) in the 100-Yard Freestyle and posted an 8th place finish (2:19.21) in the 200-Yard Freestyle at the CUNYAC Championship. Transfer from Kingsborough Community College.

High School: Attended Kingsborough Early College Secondary School (KECSS)... Four-year member of the soccer team.

Personal: Parent is Nezahat Tanritanir... English Literature major.

He is the metaphorical glue that holds the team together with his commitment to swimming, prolific speaking skills, and an infectious dry(no pun intended) sense of humor. Keep your eyes on Umut as he has great success in freestyle/backstroke events for his final season with the Bulldogs."
