Biography
College: Third-year member of the BC Women's Basketball team. Transfer from Temple University. In 2019-2020, named HSS/CUNYAC Scholar Athlete for the month of January. Averaged 12.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game (3rd in CUNYAC). Surpassed the 1,000 career point mark on January 31, 2020. George was named a CUNYAC First Team All Star, and helped lead the team to their second CUNYAC championship in 3 years. In 2018-2019, named HSS/CUNYAC Scholar Athlete for the month of March. Averaged 14 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. In 2017-2018, named Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Third Team All-Star. Named CUNYAC Rookie of the Year, and ECAC Rookie of the Year. Went 84% from the free throw line, and 38% from the three-point line, both team highs. Averaged 12.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2 assists per game.
High School: Attended Whitehall High School. A four-sport athlete, she played basketball in addition to soccer, field hockey and track & field. She earned Runner up Rookie of the year as a freshman. Also, earned All Conference/ League Honorable mention, from her sophomore through senior seasons. She led her team in scoring as a senior.
Personal: Parents are Denise and Dave... Born in 1997... Majoring in Speech Pathology.
Coach Lang Says: "Taylor is one of the most talented and toughest players that I've had the opportunity to coach. She has been a tremendous asset to our team both offensively and on defense, and is also a wonderful leader and teammate. She can beat you off the dribble, in transition and knock down the open three, and defensively, she is someone who is all over the court."
