Biography

College: In 2009-10, D3Hoops.com Preseason All-American. As a senior, played in 28 games, while making 27 starts. In a team-leading 31.6 minutes per game, averaged a team-best 19..4 points per game, to go along with 6.8 rebounds per game. Also recorded a team-high 39 blocks, to go along with 57 assists and 58 steals. Set a new school record for career points with 1,741 on Feburary 14, 2010. Previous record was held by Rich Micallef (1980-1984). Jean-Baptiste would finish his illustrious career with 1,847 career points. Led team to second straight CUNYAC title defeating York College, 79-68. Named Tournament MVP for second straight year. 2009-10 CUNYAC First Team All-Star. 2009-10 All-Metropolitan Division III First Team. 2010 State Farm® Division III All-American Third Team. 2010 Division III All-District First Team – Atlantic Region. Selected to participate in the NABC Senior All-Star Game, as a member of the East All-Star Team. ECAC Division III Metro First Team All-Star bid and was named a D3Hoops.com Men's Atlantic Region First Team All-Star... In 2008-09, as a junior, played in all 29 games on the season, making 28 starts. Playing in a team-best 33.5 minutes per game, averaged team-leading 21.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Also recorded a team-high 77 steals and 37 blocks, while dishing out 65 assists. Shot 46.4% (215-for-463) from the floor, 77.6% (128-for-165) from the free throw line and 40.3% (71-for-176) from down town. High scorer for BC in 22 out of 29 games. Instrumental in helping guide team to the school's first conference championship since 1973 and first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1982. Posted a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in the CUNYAC Championship Game, where Brooklyn defeated Baruch 89-69. Named Tournament MVP.  Scored 1,000th career point in a victory over New Paltz on January 14. Named CUNYAC Player of the Week on December 8th and ECAC Player of the Week on December 10th. In 2007-08, as a sophomore, enjoyed one of the best seasons in school history, en route to a breakout year. Played and started in all 27 games, averaging 22.8 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per contest. Also dished out 62 assists, while recording 61 steals and 31 blocks. Shot 52.9% (222-for-420) from the floor and 43.5% (60-for-138) from beyond the arc. Helped guide team to the ECAC Division III Metro Tournament. For his efforts, named 2007-08 CUNYAC Player of the Year, 2007-08 ECAC Metropolitan Player of the Year, 2007-08 All-Metorpolitan Division III First Team, 2007-08 All-Metropolitan Basketball Writers Division III Player of the year and NABC All-American... In 2006-07, as a freshman, played in just four games, while making two starts. Averaging 26.0 minutes per game, totaled 59 points, 16 rebounds, seven blocks and six steals.

High Scool: Played under legendary CHSAA coach Jim Gatto at St. John's Prep. Led his team to City Championship game as a junior.

Personal: A Physical Education major.....Older brother Jeff played at Brooklyn College from 2002-06, and is currently an assistat coach on the team.
