Hired in the Winter 2019, Glenn Moore enters his first season as the Head Coach of the Brooklyn College softball program. He replaces former Head Coach, Greg Cary, who spent the 2018 Season at the helm.
Coach Moore breaks into the college ranks after ten years of coaching high school and travel team softball. He comes to Brooklyn College from St. Saviour High School where he served as Head Coach of the varsity softball team since 2015. While at the Brooklyn high school, Moore led the team to Brooklyn/Queens A Division league and city titles in 2016. Moore's teams at St. Saviour would improve statistically across the board from season to season under his direction.
Prior to his time at St. Saviour, Moore served as the Head Coach of the varsity softball team at Bishop Ford High School from 2014-2015.
Along with his high school coaching experience, Moore successfully created travel softball teams for girls 12-18U through the Parkville Youth Organization. In addition to organizing fundraising events to support such efforts, Moore volunteered as Head Coach of the Girls Fast Pitch team. He also organized a new Fast Pitch League for girls in Brooklyn.
Moore's coaching experience extends beyond softball. From 2006-09, he served as the Head Coach of the JV Football team at Bishop Ford High School. He would transition to an assistant coach for the varsity football team at Bishop Ford from 2009-2014, coaching defensive backs and wide receivers.
While on staff and during his playing years in high school, Moore has been part of ten high school championships. Over the years, he has also had the opportunity to coach student-athletes that have gone on to continue their academic and playing careers at every level of the NCAA.
