College: Third year member of the BC Softball team...In 2013, played in 20 games with 7 starts. Posted a .462 slugging percentage... In 2012, played in 36 games, while making 35 starts. Batted .267 (27-for-101) on the year with 20 RBI and eight runs scored, to go with 10 doubles and two homeruns. Also posted a .426 slugging percentage and a .324 on base percentage.

High School: Attended James Madison... Four-year member of the Girls Varsity Softball team. Helped lead team to the 2010 PSAL Divison A Championship as a senior. Went 1-for-3 in the championship game with two RBI to lead Madison to a 5-2 win over top seed Tottenville.

Personal: Parents are Joann and Spiro Mantagas... Born in 1992... Physical Education major with plans on becoming a teacher... Transfer from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Coach Ponsiglione Says: "Maria is a power threat who has become very aggressive at the plate. She will see time at both third and first base."
