Amalea Sideris

In 2013 Amalea Sideris was named to the women's basketball staff.  Sideris was a four-year member of the Bulldogs from 2005-2009.  She was a starter during her junior and senior seasons, and a captain on the 2008-2009 team that went 19-9 and earned the program's first ever ECAC bid.

Sideris was known on the court for her tenacity and gritty play. As a coach, she brings some of that same flare for the game to the team. She handles video and works individually with the team's wing players.

During her seven season on the sidelines, Brooklyn has amassed a tremendous record of 152-50, has won 20 or more games in each season, while claiming the CUNYAC and earning an NCAA Tournament bid in both 2018 and 2020.  The team also won two ECAC Metro Championships during her tenure as an assistant.

While a student-athlete at BC, Sideris was also named all-conference in tennis as she played a second sport in her final season of eligibility at BC. Sideris' brother, Anthony, was also a standout at BC in tennis and soccer.

A lifetime New Yorker, Sideris resides in Astoria.
