Brooklyn College Athletics

College: Fourth-year member of the BC Women's Basketball team. In 2023-2024, started in 26 of the 26 games played, averaging 6.9 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game to go along with 44 total steals, 34 blocks and 61 assists, while shooting 34.4% overall, 20.4% from three and 77.9% at the free throw line. In 2022-2023, played in 22 games averaging 5.0 points and 7.3 rebounds. In 2021-22, played in 17 games....Averaged 3.9 ppg and 5.6 rpg....Helped team to CUNYAC Championship and first NCAA Tournament win in program history. In 2019-2020, averaged 6.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. Shot 36% from beyond the three point line and 71.9% from the free throw line. Helped team to second CUNYAC Championship in three years that season with a tremendous, 6-made three-pointers in the final as Brooklyn defeated Hunter.  James finished the game with 20 points. 

High School: Attended James Madison High School. Helped team to three straight PSAL A City Championships (2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19). Amassed 1300 points during her high school career. Also lettered in volleyball, softball, and flag football. 

Personal: Born in 2000. Majoring in Physical Education. 

Coach Lang Says: "Sarah is a senior who has been huge for our team over the last three season, bringing confidence, ability and personality to our team.  She not only has been the player in the middle on the court, but one of those people that everyone rallies around.  Sarah can make her mark on the court in a number of ways, with shooting, rebounding, defense and passing.  She is a smart player who gives the team what is necessary to win. She steps up in big moments and has been a winner at every level."
