Deana Carrington

Deana Carrington joined the Brooklyn College Office of Recreation, Intramurals & Intercollegiate Athletics as Interim Head Coach for the BC Men's and Women's Cross Country teams in August 2013.

Carrington is no stranger to BC Athletics, having spent three seasons (2010-2012) on the Women's Cross Country team. Carrington served as the team captain during her senior season in 2012 and was named a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) All-Star in 2011. She was also honored with the CUNYAC Sportsmanship Award in 2011.

Her other accolades include being honored with the Ed Madden Memorial Award for courage and leadership in 2011-2012 and the BC Bulldog Coaches' Award in 2010-2011.

Carrington was also a committed member of the BC Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), receiving the SAAC Award in 2012-2013.

Off the trails, Carrington is a member of the Nike Run Club NYC, New York Road Runners (NYRR) and was also an exercise coordinator for the BC Runners Club.

Carrington currently works at Niketown NY as a running athlete.

Carrington received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater from Brooklyn College and is also a college assistant in the BC Student Center.
