Biography

College: Second-year member of the BC Women's Volleyball team. In 2018, was named CUNYAC Player of the Year. Played in 29 matches totaling 325 kills on 993 attacks, 24 assists, 43 service aces, 290 digs, and 12 blocks. Averaging 3.57 kills per set, Appel was second overall in the CUNYAC for kills and 8th overall for hitting percentage. Transfer from Division II Concordia College (NY).

High School: Attended Midwood High School. Helped girls' varsity volleyball team to two final four appearances. 

Personal: Born in 1997. Parent is Maryann. Majoring in Health and Nutrition Sciences. 

Coach Gotowicki says: "A Midwood graduate and one of our seniors, Michaela has taken on a much bigger role on our team.  She is the leader of our offense and will lead our team to success this year. "
