Biography

College: Second-year member of the BC Women's Volleyball team. Transfer from CCNY. In 2018, played in 29 matches totaling 55 kills on 246 attacks, 29 assists, 44 service aces, 305 digs, and 1 block. Shaposhnikova was third overall in the CUNYAC for digs; averaging 3.77 digs per set. In 2019, played in 29 matches finishing with 12 kills on 91 attacks, 46 assist, and 438 digs. Led the CUNYAC with 4.42 digs per set. Shaposhnikova was named a 2019 CUNYAC First Team All Star. 

High School: Attended Midwood High School. Helped Varsity Volleyball team to city semifinals and finals. 

Personal: Born in 1998. Parents are Vitaly and Lyubov. Majoring in Psychology. 

Coach Gotowicki says: "Our defensive leader, Yana will try to solidify our defense through her skills and leadership. Also, she is a captain this year."
