Junior guard/forward Carissa Williams made an immediate impact to the Brooklyn College Women’s Basketball program this season after transferring in from Community College of Baltimore County – Dundalk, where she played for two seasons.
During the month of February, Williams played in all eight games, while starting in four. Logging in 21.6 minutes per contest, Williams averaged 7.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 steal per game.
On February 15th against York College, Williams scored a month-high 17 points, going 7-for-13 from the field, including 2-for-4 from three.
In the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) quarterfinals against #6 John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Williams finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in a win over the Bloodhounds to help lead the Bulldogs to the semifinals round.
For her efforts, Carissa Williams has been named the Brooklyn College Female Student-Athlete of the Month, for the month of February.
