Bergelie Louis Named November Brooklyn College Female Student Athlete of the Month
Senior forward Bergelie Louis concluded her collegiate career leading the BC Women’s Soccer program to its second straight City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
Louis scored the game winning goal in the CUNYAC final on November 8th to help defeat the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island, 1-0, and was named the CUNYAC/Brine Tournament MVP.
For her efforts, Louis was named the Corvais/Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Metro Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week ending November 9th.
Louis, who transferred to Brooklyn from fellow CUNYAC institution John Jay College of Criminal Justice where she was named the 2011 CUNYAC Rookie of the Year and a 2012 CUNY First Team All-Star, made an immediate impact on the Bulldogs, helping to lead the Bulldogs to back-to-back CUNYAC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances (2013 & 2014).
Over her two-year BC career, Louis played in 33 games, while making 31 starts, to go with 22 goals (six game winners) and five assists for 49 points. She was named a 2014 CUNYAC Second Team All-Star.
