Brooklyn College Athletics

Christina McDonnell has been one of the driving forces behind the 2-2 start of the Women’s Basketball team. A CUNYAC Second Team All-Conference player as a freshman, Christina has picked up right where she left off. She leads team in scoring through the first four games of the season, averaging 17.5 points per contest. In the starting line-up for each game this season, Christina has been one of the most durable Bridges. She scored 19 points in the season-opening game at Lebanon Valley and a season-high 23 points in a dominating win over the College of New Rochelle. Head Coach Alex Lang says “Christina is an excellent shooter who has been working very hard at adding to her offensive repertoire. I’m looking forward to seeing her develop into one of the Conference’s top players.” Christina, a Staten Island resident who is the all-time scoring leader at Staten Island Tech, attends Brooklyn College on a Presidential Scholarship. She is a sophomore Exercise Science Major who aspires toward a career in Physical Therapy.
