Sophomore guard Nicole Francomano is off to another solid start in leading the Brooklyn College Women’s Basketball team. Francomano started in all five games for the Bulldogs in the month of November, helping to guide the team to a 4-1 record in the month.
Starting off at the Amherst College Tip-Off Tournament (November 17th and 18th), Francomano led BC to a 1-1 showing en route to being named to the All-Tournament team. After falling to host Amherst, 67-42, Brooklyn bounced back to defeat Farmingdale State College, 56-52, in the consolation game. Coming against Farmingdale, Francomano netted 14 points and dished out five assists.
Coming against Old Westbury on November 20th, Francomano once again scored in double figures notching 12 points, to go along with seven assists and six steals. Playing against borough rival Polytechnic Institute of New York University on November 26th, Francomano filled up the state sheet grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out 11 asssits, to go along with six points and three steals.
Overall on the month, Francomano averaged 28 minutes per game, to go along with 7.4 points, 5.4 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game.
For her efforts in November, Francomano has been named the BC Female Student Athlete of the Month.
