Soccer Dominates Polytechnic For First Win Of Season

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer Squad may have found their groove on Thursday as they played their best game of the season, dominating Polytechnic 5-0 at Floyd Bennett Field.

Freshman Michael Pelletier (Enrico Fermi/Enfield, CT) started the scoring as he scored on a rebound to give the team a 1-0 lead.

Classmate Ardit Cela (New Utrecht/Brooklyn, NY) broke free in the middle of the field and lofted a shot over the keeper's head for the second tally of the game.

Vasilios Mantagas (James Madison/Brooklyn, NY) then converted on a score as Elis Llagami (FDR/Brooklyn, NY) found him in the box.

Stephen Chase (St. Mary's College/Brooklyn, NY) kept the pressure on as he hit a shot from about 30 yards, giving BC a 4-0 lead.

Jude Poku (Prempeh(Ghana)/Brooklyn, NY) summed up the scoring as he connected on a feed from Jason Trotman (Fatima College (Trinidad)/Brooklyn, NY).

Brooklyn will hope to have tonight's performance carry over on Saturday as they take on conference opponent Hunter College at the Brooklyn Parade Grounds at 12:00 pm.
