Annville, PA---The BC Women (0-2) played much better in their second game at the Lebanon Valley Tip-Off Tournamant but could not escape with a win as they squandered an 8-point lead to lose to Immaculata (1-1), 82-61.
After scoring only 40 points on Friday night, the BC offense exploded for 36 points in the first half of this afternoon's game, but when forwards Ryane Hecker (St. Francis Prep/Corona, NY) and Amalea Sideris (St. Demetrios/Astoria, NY) got into foul trouble late in the first half, Immaculata was able to gain control of the game, taking a 4 point halftime lead.
Brooklyn was led by the tandem of Amber Gordon (Bishop Loughlin/Brooklyn, NY) and Christina McDonnell (Staten Island Tech/Staten Island, NY) who netted 19 points a piece.  Gordon, who shot 8 of 15 from the field, including 2 for 2 from behind the arc, was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Immaculata was led by Dominique Murray (Padua Academy/Wilmington, DE), a 2007 D-3 Hoops All-Region performer, who scored 22 points and grabbed 24 rebounds.
First-year players Joelle Laurenceau (Midwood/Brooklyn, NY) and Ashley Allen (William C. Bryant/Sunnyside/NY) each set career-highs in scoring as Laruenceau scored 8 and Allen notched 6.
The Women will come home to host New Rochelle on Tuesday at 7 pm in the 2007 home opener.
