Another 8-0 Bridges spurt was punctuated by a three-pointer from
Richard Jean-Baptiste (St. John's Prep / Brooklyn, NY). BC enjoyed an 18-point cushion midway through the first half, and saw the lead swell to as many as 25 on a
Darnell Cudjoe (Murray Bergtraum / Brooklyn, NY) put-back with 90 seconds remaining in the stanza.
The Bridges pushed the lead to 30 points with 14:56 remaining on a lay-up by
Ahmad Hemingway (Curtis / Brooklyn, NY). The margin teetered between 26 and 33 points for the next 12 minutes as the Bridges remained in control the entire game. A
Reginald Posey (Monsignor Scanlan / Bronx, NY) three-pointer and a
Marlon Thornton (Richmond Hill / Brooklyn, NY) foul shot provided the final point tallies.
Hemingway posted a game-high 19 points, while Jean-Baptiste and Posey each added 13 points. Jean-Baptiste also collected 11 rebounds enroute to his third double-double of the season. Gist was the leading scorer for the Bears, pouring in 12 points in the losing effort.
