Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer Team (4-7-2, 2-3-1 CUNYAC) was unable to overcome a 2-1 first half deficit to Medgar Evers College (5-7-2, 4-2-1 CUNYAC) as they dropped a 3-1 decision on Tuesday.
After falling behind 1-0 at the game's ten minute mark on a goal by Medgar's Kyle Stephen, Brooklyn was able to come back with a score of their own, as
Miguel Veliz-Fitz (FDR / Brooklyn, NY) took a
Fabian Olguin (Humanities / New York, NY) pass and found the goal.
The tie score would be short-lived as Medgar Evers came right back with a goal of their own as Seth Asamoah scored a few minutes before the end of the half to give his team the lead.
While the second half featured a lot of physical play and a couple of good scoring opportunities for each squad, neither team was able to knock one home until Medgar's Daniel Joseph found Travis Pinnock for the game-clincher during the game's 89th minute.
Brooklyn will look to bounce back on Saturday as they take on CCNY in will be a big game in determining seeding for the upcoming CUNYAC Tournament.
