Bulldogs Run Past Staten Island, 90-60

Staten Island, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Basketball Team (3-3, 1-1 CUNYAC) dominated South Division rival Staten Island (2-3, 1-1 CUNYAC) 90-60 on Thursday evening. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 47-28 lead at the half and never looked back as they got their first conference win of the season.

Richard Jean-Baptiste (St. John's Prep / Queens, NY) was nearly unstoppable, scoring 21 points, while dishing out 6 assists and blocking 2 shots in only 28 minutes of play.

Transfer center Iouri Matsakov (Abraham Lincoln / Brooklyn, NY) got the start and chipped in with his best performance of the young season, scoring 17 points on 7 of 8 shooting, while pulling down a team-high 11 boards.

Sophomore guard Amil John (South Shore / Brooklyn, NY) had another big game, scoring 14 points, while nabbing 4 steals in the win.

Michael Ledbetter (Susan Wagner / Staten Island, NY) led the way for CSI, scoring a game-high 25 points off the bench.

The Brooklyn Men will remain on the road for a non-conference tilt against New Jersey City University on Tuesday, December 8th as they travel across the tunnel to take on the Gothic Knights.
