Men's Basketball Wins 20th Game in 81-70 Victory At Yeshiva

New York, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Basketball Team (20-5) won their 20th game for the second consecutive season on Monday night as they traveled to Yeshiva (7-15) to earn the 81-70 victory.

The game was the team's final game of the regular season as the CUNYAC Tournament approaches this weekend.

Richard Jean-Baptiste (St. John's Prep / Queens, NY) continued his outstanding season, scoring 33 points in the victory.

Sophomore guard Ahmad Hemingway (Curtis / Brooklyn, NY) had a big game as well, scoring 19 points.  Darnell Cudjoe (Murry Bergtraum / Brooklyn, NY) got the start and chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds on the evening.

Yeshiva was led by Simon Brookim (Valley Torah / Brentwood, CA) who had a team-high 26 points.

Aside from being the team's 20th victory, another milestone was reached as head coach Steve Podias earned his 150th coaching victory.

Brooklyn will host John Jay on Sunday in the CUNYAC Tournament Quarterfinal round at 2:00 pm.  The CUNYAC Semifinals are on Wednesday and the finals are on Friday.  Both rounds are at City College of New York.
