Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Softball Team (6-20, 3-11 CUNYAC) closed the regular season by dropping a doubleheader at St. Joseph's College, falling 8-0 and 9-1 on Saturday afternoon.  Earlier in the day, the Bridges lost to York College in the completion of a game that was suspended due to darkness on April 1.

Brooklyn enjoyed a 14-8 lead over York College at the point the game was halted, but could not get reignite their offense.  A four-run seventh powered the Cardinals to a 16-15 advantage.  In the bottom of the seventh inning the Bridges rallied with two down, loading the bases.  York hurler Renita Ragbir recorded the game's final out on a called third strike.

Against the Bears, BC struggled at the plate.  In game one, Nataly Yehezkel (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) mustered the lone Bridges hit against winning pitcher Alyson Chiramonte.  The second game saw more offensive production, but despite a pair of hits by Ruth Perez (EBC Bushwick / Brooklyn, NY), the Bridges could only plate one run.

Brooklyn has secured the number five seed in the upcoming CUNYAC play-offs and will face fourth-seeded John Jay College on Wednesday afternoon.
