New Rochelle, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Tennis Team (3-2) won their third straight match on Wednesday evening as they traveled to the College of New Rochelle to defeat the Blue Angels 9-0.
The match marked the third straight victory in which Brooklyn shutout their opponent, not allowing New Rochelle to win a match. The Bridges also picked up their first road win of the season in their first attempt.
"Our girls just came out strong and finished the same way," said Head Coach
Ahmad Odetalla. "It feels good going on the road and taking the win."
Ruth Perez (EBC Bushwick / Brooklyn, NY) defeated Christina Locke in their #1 singles match, 10-2.
First-year player
Hadiya Cameron (Clara Barton / Brooklyn, NY) got the first win of her young career, knocking off New Rochelle's #6 player, 10-1.
Olexandra Ovsiy (American / Dnepropetrousk, Ukraine) along with first year players
Diana Derks (Herlong / Frankfurt, Germany) and
Diana Rafailova (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) all won their matches 10-0.
The team will be home on Friday to host John Jay College at 4:00 pm.
