Lancaster, PA---The Brooklyn College Men's Basketball Team (5-4) fell in the first round of the Franklin & Marshall Tournament on Saturday evening, as they fell to Manhattanville (6-5) 71-65.
Down by the score of 62-49 with 4:31 remaining, BC fought back to close the gap to 67-65 with 31 seconds remaining, but would not get any closer, as Manhattanville scored the game's final four points.
Richard Jean-Baptiste (St. John's Prep / Queens, NY) led the Bulldogs with 16 points, while
Amil John (South Shore / Brooklyn, NY) poured in 15 before leaving the game in the final minutes with an injury.
Senior guard
Daniel Velasquez (Telecommunications / Brooklyn, NY) had his best performance of the season, scoring 11 points off the BC bench.
Brooklyn will return to the court on Sunday to battle Susquehanna in the tournament's consolation game.
