Box Score 2 Staten Island, NY --- The Brooklyn College Softball team lost both games of a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) doubleheader on Sunday against the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island. CSI took the opener 13-1 and later took a 5-0 win in game two to complete the sweep.
Brooklyn falls to 12-11 overall on the season and an even 4-4 in the CUNYAC; while Staten Island improves to 10-7 overall on the year and 4-0 in conference play.
The Dolphins took control of game one by scoring four runs in the bottom of the first and would eventually win via run rule by taking a 13-1 win.
Samantha Tallarine powered the CSI offense going 2-for-3 with four RBI, while Maxine Jasko went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Brittany Smith went 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

Meagan Cranston all had two hits in the game.
Victoria Proccopio picked up the win for the Dolphins allowing just one unearned run on seven hits, while walking one and striking out two over five innings.
Marie Oneto took the loss for BC, allowing six runs (two earned) on five hits, while walking one in just one inning of work. Bisz came in relief tossing the final three innings, allowing seven runs (five earned) on eight hits, while walking four and striking out one.
Procopio continued her solid pitching in game two, picking up her second win of the day, allowing just three hits, to go with a walk and a strikeout, over seven innings, to earn the complete game shutout. Her counterpart,
Kayla Hill, allowed five runs (three earned) on eight hits, while walking one and striking out one over six innings in the loss.
The game featured a tight pitcher's duel through the first three innings as neither team was able to get on the scoreboard. The Dolphins would be the first to strike, as Christina Tufano's RBI double in the bottom of the fourth brought home Procopio for the first run of the game. CSI would add another run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Chyanne Gilliam.
The Dolphins would add three more runs in the sixth en route to their 5-0 win.
Kim Konklewski, Bisz and Cranston all had a hit in the game for BC.
Brooklyn returns to action on Tuesday, April 9th, as the Bulldogs will host the Blue Angels of the College of New Rochelle. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 4:00 pm at BC Field.
