Box Score 2 Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Softball Team celebrated the careers of seniors
Stephanie Caravello,
Meagan Cranston,
Allison Donovan,
Marie Oneto,
Amanda Bisz and
Nicole Tufano on Saturday by winning in convincing fashion, 10-0, 9-2 in both games of a doubleheader over conference foe Lehman College at BC Field. With the wins, the Bulldogs climb to 21-11, 10-2 CUNYAC on the year while the Lightning fall to 8-20, 2-8 CUNYAC.
Oneto pitched marvelously in Game One, striking out seven while only yielding three hits on the day. Her catcher,
Arislenia Rodriguez, not only caught a great game but also was the hitting star, blasting an opposite field, two-run home run in the bottom of the first. She ended up with three runs batted in for the game.
Caravello also had a big game at the plate, driving in two runs while scoring three runs in addition
In Game Two, Bisz got the start and earned the win, going the distance while allowing only two runs and striking out nine Lehman batters.
Donovan, Caravello and junior
Kayla Hill had two hits a piece for the Bulldogs. Donovan had a team-high two runs batted in while making some outstanding plays at shortstop for BC.
Lehman's Ashley Williams was two for three with two runs batted in to lead the Lightning in defeat.
Next up for Brooklyn will be a doubleheader against borough rival NYU-Poly on Monday at 4 pm at Brooklyn College Field in the last home contests of the season.
