Box Score 2 Purchase, NY --- The Brooklyn College Softball team took a pair of games from the Panthers of SUNY Purchase College in a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon in Purchase, NY. Brooklyn took game one 12-2 (6 innings) and game two 10-0 (5 innings).
The Bulldogs improve to 13-9 overall on the season, while the Panthers fall to 3-11 overall on the year.
In the opener, Brooklyn used a pair of four-run innings en route to their 12-2 win, as BC scored four runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth to eventually end the game after six innings via the run rule.
For starting pitcher 
Kayla Hill (5-3), that's all the run support she would need, as Hill allowed just two runs (one earned) on eight hits, while striking out seven over six innings of work. Her counterpart, Nicole Fortuna (2-5) took the loss, allowing 12 runs on 14 hits, while walking two and striking out three over six innings of work.
Powering the BC offense were seniors 
Amanda Bisz and 
Stephanie Caravello. Bisz went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Caravello went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. Senior 
Allison Donovan also had a solid game at the plate going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored, while sophomore 
Arislenia Rodriguez also drove in a pair of runs to go along with two runs scored. Sophomore 
Samantha Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, while junior 
Geena Bell went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
For Purchase, ToniAnn Licata and Amanda Green each drove in a run, while Christine Leo went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
In the nightcap, the Bulldogs once again received a solid pitching performance, this time from senior 
Marie Oneto (5-4) who tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits over five innings, while striking out five. Her counterpart, Licata (0-5) allowed 10 runs (seven earned) on 11 hits, while walking seven and striking out four.
Brooklyn scored early and often in game two, as the visitors scored three runs in the first and second, two more in the third and one run in the fourth and fifth en route to their 10-0 win. The game would end in the fifth via the run rule.
Bisz again helped to power the offense going 1-for-2 with three RBI and a run scored. Hill went 3-for-3 with three runs scored, while senior 
Meagan Cranston also scored three times.

Nicole Tufano all drove in a run.
Brooklyn returns to the diamond tomorrow, Thursday, April 10th, as the Bulldogs will host the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 pm at BC Field. The first 150 fans in attendance will receive a free t-shirt.
