Box Score 4 Hoboken, NJ --- The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball team dropped all four matches at the 2014 Stevens Invitational held on Friday and Saturday, September 26th and 27th.
The Bulldogs fell to host Stevens, 3-0 (25-21, 25-12, 25-18), and Ramapo, 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-14) on Friday and dropped matches to NYU, 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-9) and Richard Stockton, 3-0 (25-22, 25-0, 25-15) on Saturday.
In the first match against Stevens to start off the invitational, BC was led by the trio of
Christolia Butler,
Yelizaveta Malysheva and
Francesca LoCascio, as all three finished the match with seven kills.
Jessica Yin paced the offense with 20 assists, while also adding four aces, while LoCascio also chipped in with eight digs.
In the second and final match of the opening day, against Ramapo, Malysheva once again led the Bulldogs with seven kills, while Yin recorded 17 assists.
Monineath Pen and LoCascio chipped in defensively with 13 and 10 digs, respectively.
On day two against NYU, Brooklyn was led by
Sasha Roopchand and Butler, with four kills each. Yin finished the match with eight assists and nine digs.
In the final match of the weekend against Richard Stockton, LoCascio led the Bulldogs with five kills, while Yin added 13 assists and eight digs. Pen contributed with 10 digs.
Brooklyn will return to action on Monday, September 29th as the Bulldogs will travel to Centenary College (New Jersey).
