Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Centenary

Box Score Hackettstown, NJ --- The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball team snapped its five-match losing streak on Monday night with a straight sets win over the Cyclones of Centenary College, 3-0 (25-9, 25-4, 25-17).

With the win, BC improves to 6-13 overall on the season, while Centenary remains winless at 0-18 overall.

Christolia Butler led the Bulldogs with eight kills, while hitting a solid .636. Francesca LoCascio also had a strong hitting performance, hitting .417 with six kills. As a team, BC hit .259.

Jessica Yin paced the offense with 12 assists, to go with five aces. Yelizaveta Malysheva also finished the match with five aces, to go with four kills (.667 hitting percentage) and seven digs. As a team, the Bulldogs recorded 16 aces.

Myriah Cockburn led the Cyclones with three kills, while Na'imah Spells dished out five assists. Brianne Allender contributed with nine digs.

Brooklyn returns to action this Saturday, October 4th, as the Bulldogs will travel to Newburgh, NY to take on host Mount Saint Mary (11:00 am) and William Paterson (1:00 pm) in a tri-match.
