Box Score Galloway, NJ --- The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer team dropped its second and final game of the Richard Stockton College Seashore Classic on Saturday afternoon against the Lions of The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), by a score of 4-0.
The Lions scored a pair of early goals to put the Bulldogs in a 2-0 deficit within the first 10 minutes of the match. Nick Costelloe put TCNJ up on the scoreboard in the 6th minute, while Jason O'Donnell added the second goal in the 10th minute.
The match would remain 2-0 in favor of the Lions until the 62nd minute, when Thomas Hogue notched his first goal of the season to put TCNJ up 3-0. Clayton Flon would cap the scoring for the Lions in the 72nd minute with his second goal of the season.
Sophomore
Ilya Keygen played all 90 minutes in goal, while making six saves. Jake Nesteruk also played all 90 minutes, while stopping the lone shot on goal for Brooklyn to record the shutout victory.
For the match, the Lions outshot the Bulldogs 27-8 and also held a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Brooklyn returns to the pitch on Wednesday, September 10th, as the Bulldogs will travel to Farmingdale, NY to take on the Rams of Farmingdale State College. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 pm start time. Live stats will be available.
