With Baruch serving as the home team, the Bulldogs batted first and plated six runs in the top of the first inning. Brooklyn would score early and often as they would go on to take game one via the run rule, 19-0 (five innings).

Kayla Hill did it all for Brooklyn in the opener, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, with four RBI and four runs scored, while also tossing a complete game one-hitter, allowing just a single hit and striking out four batters over five innings.
