Box Score 2 Bellerose, NY---The Brooklyn College Softball Team (11-11, 8-2 CUNYAC) took a pair of conference games from hosts York College (0-16, 0-8 CUNYAC) on Saturday, winning each game by a final of 19-0.
Kayla Hill and
Ashley Tkacsik each pitched shutouts, earning the victories for the Bulldogs who were able to get back to .500 with the wins.
Tkacsik, who earned the game two victory, was one of the game one offensive stars, going three for four with a game-high four runs batted in. Hill and
Michelle Cranston each tacked on three hits as well.
In game two, the duo of Christina Heyer and
Samantha Rodriguez went a perfect 10 for 10 (5-5 each), while combining for nine runs batted in (5 Rodriguez / 4 Heyer), as the Bulldog bats exploded for 19 runs for the second straight contest.
The Bulldogs will look to move over .500 as they travel to St. Elizabeth College in Morristown, New Jersey on Monday for a 3 pm start to a non-conference doubleheader.
