Danbury, CT --- The Brooklyn College Bulldogs have earned the #5 seed in the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Metro/Upstate Softball Championships.

The Bulldogs will take on a familiar opponent, in fellow City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) member Hunter College, in the First Round this Wednesday, May 6th at 4:00 pm at Brooklyn College Field. The Hawks are the #4 seed in the championships and will serve as the home team.

Wednesday's First Round meeting will be the fifth of the season between Brooklyn and Hunter. The team's split their regular season meeting back on April 16th, as the Bulldogs took game one of the CUNYAC doubleheader, 1-0, while the Hawks bounced back in the nightcap, 11-6, to earn the split.

Most recently, the teams met twice this past weekend in the double elimination round of the CUNYAC Championships. BC cruised to a 10-0 (five innings) victory on day one of the championships on May 1st, while Hunter eliminated Brooklyn on day two, May 2nd, 3-1.

The winner of the fifth installment will advance to double elimination round of the ECAC Championships that begin on Saturday, May 9th, against top seed and host Stevens Institute of Technology.

#2 seed Clarkson University and #3 seed Sage College round out the five-team field.
